Malcolm, Dana, and I met again in gorgeous Malibu. A few weeks prior we were running around their apartment and neighborhood shooting engagements pictures. Now it was their Big Day. Nature. Beach. Sun. Family. And lots of friends from near and far. Some came from an ocean away to witness these two extraordinary people tie the knot.
D + M got their guests a couple of double-decker buses to get them to the beach ceremony. Sarinya shot all the bus images below.
I had shot their engagement photos a couple of months prior so I was excited to meet up with Evelyn and Angel again. This occasion was much more formal than our first encounter on the beaches of Laguna where we all got soaked from the waste down. I actually had to drive home with my pants off to keep the salt water from seeping into my seat. For the wedding, I kept my clothes on the entire time and even on the ride home.
Stacy’s first impression of me couldn’t have been that great. I was nearly 30 minutes late to our first meeting. The excuse: I got lost. I’m not the greatest with directions so I got a navigator in my car to compensate. Unfortunately you have to know the address of your destination to allow it to help you. The good news is that I was only 15 minutes late to their wedding. Just kidding.
I was at their new Bixby Knolls home for half the day shooting the ladies getting beautified.

When the pressure is on, James goes surfing. He came back as I was starting my day. Very calm, relaxed (as usual).
The reception was held at Parker’s Lighthouse in Shoreline Village. The Alaskan Halibut was superb. I don’t usually eat much at a wedding. This time I made an exception and cleaned up my plate.
