My sister, Sarinya, just started her own flower shop.  It has been a long time coming.  She’s worked in the industry for over 5 years!  The latter of the 5 years, she was an art director of one of the premier wedding floral magazines in the country.  Their publication even hit newsstands in other countries.

I fully endorse her floral appitude and expertise.  Sarinya will be the first and maybe only vendor I refer with 100% confidence.  She is as good, if not better, at flowers than I am with cameras:)

I wasn’t their first choice.  Erika and Rob had already booked another photographer. Things fell through and Erika found me.  I didn’t mind being the 2nd string photog!  If I keep making the photos I make and keep getting better, one day…just maybe one day I’ll be a starter.  Thanks for choosing to go with me Erika.

I know Rosanna and Matt through R’s brother, Ortenzio (pictured at the bottom, again).  It was an honor to get O’s pass to work his little sis’s wedding.  Ever since our UCI days, I’ve gone to Ortenzio for help with Photoshop and general photography.  He’s one of only a few friends of mine that knows a thing or two about photography.  My photog friend circle is quite minuscule…maybe 3?

There’s always a little added pressure when shooting a wedding of a friend or a warm acquaintance.  I think the extra nervous energy rarely hurts and sometimes, usually, and often helps.  Enjoy.  Slideshow to follow in less than 48 hours.

St. Catherine’s Church.  The girls showed up a little late, giving the priest more time to chat with our groom.  I think mainly he was discussing the girls’ tardiness and ironically attempting to relax Matt at the same time.

Sherman Library and Gardens is a photographer’s paradise.  Everywhere you turn is an opportunity.

Flowers and catering were beautifully taken care of by Ivana Royse and company.

Here are a few recent snaps of my niece, Chiala. She’s usually up to pose for the camera. She was trained to say “cheese” long ago like I suppose most kids born in the digital age. On this occasion though she got experimental.
