A few weeks ago, Ortenzio and I shot a few of the Long Beach Armada players.
Tony Torcato, Jerome Williams, and David Parrish are all former MLB draft picks. Parrish is a big dude in person. The 9ft seamless background could barely handle all three players in one frame.

Octavio Martinez was able to hang out with us a little longer because he wasn’t playing that day. That gave us time to adjust the lighting and reflectors. Octavio is the kind of guy you want to root for. Just a genuine, nice guy. Hope you make it to the bigs man.

A group of us went camping at Parson’s Landing on Catalina last weekend. We kayaked for nearly 3 hours to get to Parson’s. I should have worn a hat or at least put on some sunscreen. My face is pealing as I write and a stranger upon first glimpse would probably think I had some sort of facial disease.
I would highly recommend the site to anyone who likes beach camping. You have some privacy and opportunities to fish, hike, bike, or just sit around and do nothing. It’s not extreme camping so you do have Port-A-Potties and the firewood and drinking water is supplied by the rangers.
Nine kayaked in, Dave biked, and Andy hiked. Hector kayaked and then hiked after being rescued by Super Brandon as the giant waves continued to capsize his undersized kayak in no man’s land.

Nocturnal sports with glow-in-the-dark frisbees

Here’s me fishing with a beer can attached to a short line that was connected to a glowing lure. Didn’t work. The first time I launched, the entire set up landed in the sea. I should have held on tighter to the can. Luckily Ortenzio and Brandon were more successful with the fishing. They caught three perch while spearfishing earlier in the day. I’ll be better prepared next time.
